DJ Tiësto tên thật là Tijs Verwest, sinh ngày 17 tháng 1 năm 1969 tại Hà lan. Là dj hàng đầu thế giới hiện nay,đã 3 lần giữ ngôi vị dj số 1 do tạp chí DJ Magazine bầu chọn.Anh là chủ hãng đĩa Black Hole Recordings.
Tiesto đã từng sang Việt Nam để làm giám khảo cuộc thi Heineken Music 2004. Là dj chuyên về dòng nhạc trance,Tiesto sở hữu rất nhiều bài hit cũng như tựa đĩa nổi tiếng như Lethal industry,Just be,hay series In Search of Sunrise. Anh là người sáng tác và trình bày ca khúc mở màn cho Olympics 2004. Tại Grammy 2007, album Elements of Life của anh được đề cử ở hạng mục Best Electronic/Dance Album.
